Action star and newly elected senator Robin Padilla recently announced on his official Facebook page that he already found someone who will assist him in carrying out his duties as the Philippines’ new senator.
The person Robin is referring to is none other than Salvador Panelo, the spokesperson of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Based on the actor’s post, Panelo will serve as his mentor, legislative consultant, and adviser.
Panelo will also assist Padilla in accomplishing his aim of transforming the Philippines’ governmental system into federalism.
In the said post, Robin stated that even though he and Panelo did not succeed in being together in the senate, their desire to help for the betterment of the Philippines will not change.
Along with the post is his photos of his meeting with Panelo.
Robin shared,
“Bismillah. Kailangan ko ng pambato sa usapin ng batas pagdating sa senado.
“Ang pagpapalit ng saligang batas ay hindi magiging madali sapagkat ang babanggain nito ay ang kasalukuyang naghaharing mga oligarko nakakubli sa 1987 constitution.
“Hindi man kami nagtagumpay ni idol Salvador Panelo na maging magkasama sa senado. Isa lang ang sinigurado namin dalawa
“Walang mababago sa aming adhikaing pagbabago. Walang makakapigil sa rebolusyon
“Si SALVADOR PANELO ang aking legislative consultant, adviser at mentor.”
Meanwhile, the said post immediately went viral online and earned mixed reactions from the netizens.
Robin Padilla is one of the most popular and influential personalities in the Philippines. He surprised the online world when he announced his decision to run as a senator of the Philippines in the 2022 elections. Though some people doubted his capabilities on becoming a senator of the country, he still continues to show what he can do and what he can contribute to the improvement of the Philippines.
